Sounak Chakravarty / Director
Sounak started Directing and Producing films while he was a student of Film Editing at the prestigious, Satyajit Ray Film & TV Institute, India, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India. Before coming to films he did his Masters in Computer Engineering, with published paper in IEEE, Computer Society. Since 2008 he has been collaborating with Native Voice Films and Internationally acclaimed Filmmaker Phil Cox. He was Associate Director & Assistant Editor for the acclaimed HBO feature doc The Bengali Detective which won a British Grierson Award. He also Co- produced The Auction House as well as the fiction drama The Indian Job for Native Voice Films. He edited NEEV (The Foundation), the award-winning documentary at Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival. He has worked as a Script consultant for RSA & Scott Free, USA, along with FOX Searchlight and collaborated with renowned Hollywood Script writer D.V. Devincentis. His video installation work was displayed at India Art Fair. Sounak has written DHAROHAR, a podcast narrated by Ashutosh Rana and produced by BIG 92.7 FM. He has collaborated with Mira Nair and worked as a script consultant for Mirabai Films. Sounak has Written and Directed ANNASHREE, a film produced by PSBT and Doordarshan. Recently Sounak is Developing a Podcast series along with WhatsTheStorySounds.com and Wondery. Sounak is simply a most WONDERFUL person, he could have been an astronaut, chose to be a filmmaker, and most certainly the biggest cricket fan ever.
Phil has mentored Scripted Frames since it's inception. A Filmmaker of International repute, Phil has been awarded the Rory Peck Award for his work covering conflict in the Sudan civil war and has since been nominated for 7 other international awards. Phil’s features have been WE ARE THE INDIANS which premiered in Sheffield Doc Fest and won BAFICI Buenos Aires FF award and the MANAUS FF Award and also THE BENGALI DETECTIVE which premiered at Sundance and Berlin and had a UK cinema release. He was described as ‘…a director to watch...’ by the Hollywood Reporter and Screen Daily. Phil won a British Grierson Award for THE BENGALI DETECTIVE which was also aired by HBO and is to be remade by Ridley Scott’s company and Fox Searchlight in Hollywood. His feature LOVE HOTEL set in Japan premiered at Toronto in 2014 and went on to an international festival, US theatrical & NETFLIX release. He recently won a Tous Ecrans Trans-media award for directing the acclaimed interactive online LOVE HOTEL XPERIENCE. He wrote, directed and filmed the ARTE backed feature documentary BETTY – THEY SAY I’M DIFFERENT which premiered at IDFA Amsterdam and New York City in 2017. His forthcoming projects will be directing the fiction feature THE OTHER SIDE OF HERE from his own script, His most recent work is the surreal feature THE CLEANER which mixes animation and documentary and is set in Mexico and also THE SPIDER-MAN OF SUDAN for The Guardian which won the prestigious Gran Prix Bayeux Calvados award for war correspondents along with the Hinzpeter Award. He has a passion for his bicycle, coffee cake, boxing and bad haircuts. He is represented by the agents Curtis Brown in London.
Ritika is an Advocate (Registered with Bar Council of West Bengal and Bar Council of India) & Producer from India. She did her master's in taxation policies and then went on to pursuit law. She is a certified Cyber Law Professional from Government Law College, Mumbai. She has offered her valuable consultation to various firms and corporate houses related to Food Products, Fertilizer and others. She has also served as a legal consultant for reputed social organizations of India. After a decade of experience under various capacities she has recently ventured into Films. Scripted Frames is her first step in that direction. We are excited to have her on our board. She adds a much-needed dimension to the team and more importantly her smile.
Prateek Pamecha / Cinematographer
For the past 10 years Prateek has travelled across India and few other lands photographing different communities and landscapes. He has the ability to maintain quality and aesthetic while adapting himself to any scale production from big sets to zero budget filmmaking. His biggest strength comes from the people he works with. Prateek studied at the Film and Television Institute of India, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India. where he got the chance to learn from some of the best DP´s in the world. Growing up in Indore as an aspiring electronics engineer who then fell in love with filmmaking in his graduation days, Prateek brings a sense of tempo, pace, colour and flow to his visual style that is heavily influenced by the rhythms of his home and upbringing. His film 'Catdog' has won numerous awards Incuding 1st prize at Prestigious Cannes Cinefondation 2020 and Best Cinematography at Tel Aviv International Festival. Prateek has also participated in the prestigious AFA, South Korea. Prateek has cracked the mystery of lights and hopes to solve the grand mystery of growing hairs on head.
Avik Mondal / Editor & Producer
Avik started Editing and Producing films while he was a student of Film Editing at the prestigious, Satyajit Ray Film & TV Institute, India, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India. Before coming to films he did his Masters in Mass Communication. Avik has worked with reputed TV channels like Star Jalsha and Etv, Editing hit soaps and serials like, @bhalobasha.com, Bhitor-o-Baire and Rojgere Ginni. He has also worked as an Editor with Shree Venkatesh Films. Avik went on to work as an Editor and Post-Production Supervisor for the prestigious National Film Development Corporation of India. He has Produced videos for Ad Impact Media Agency. Currently he is associated with New Emerging World Of Journalism as a Producer. Avik is a calm and quite person but never loses an oppurtunity for mischief.
Wardan is an experienced and versatile freelance writer, Director, and Producer with over a decade of expertise in film and media production. A graduate of the prestigious Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata, his career spans diverse roles, from Assistant Director and Script Writer to Creative Director and Senior Copywriter. He has also contributed academically as an Assistant Professor in Direction and Screenplay Writing at Chandigarh University.
With a solid foundation in both creative and technical aspects of filmmaking, Wardan has worked on high-profile projects with Gravity Atoms (TVC Ads), Green Gold Animation (Chhota Bheem, Chhota Start-up, Teen Buddhu animation series), Iris Green Films (Maiya, Hindi feature film), Flower Film Family (Bhatukali, Marathi feature film), Weekend Films (P Se PM Tak, Hindi feature film), and Life OK channel (Gustakh Dil, TV series). His contributions span pre-production, shoot, and post-production stages.
Beyond traditional storytelling, Wardan’s skills include photography, video shooting, pitching, budgeting, and production management. Fluent in Hindi, English, Marathi, Bengali, and Gujarati, he is known for his meticulous, engaging storytelling and passion for creating meaningful, empathetic content. Whether working on TV series, feature films, or animated projects, Wardan brings a dynamic and proactive approach to every endeavor, always ready to embrace new challenges and opportunities for growth.
